The Muses are Silent

Jászberény, Hungary, 2015

A fast-paced mimed performance in animation-film style

An autobiographical comedy with gravitas, telling the story of Remnant’s refusal to join the Israeli Army and how she managed to exempt herself from it when she was 17.
After the famous proverb, “When the cannons are heard, the muses are silent. When the cannons are silent, the muses are heard”.

The Traveller

London, 2013

A performance based on the Language of Gestures and object manipulation

A mime would like to tell you a story about an old lady sailing away... but the mime universe has got plans of its own, and so has the weather. Inspired by travelling afar, depicting reality and imagining better worlds, as well as by the unexpected chaos that all these can bring.

Developed and presented at the London International School of Performing Arts, London, 2013

External Eye: Elif Sözer Object manipulators: Themis Eikosipentarchou and Raquel Varela Original keyboard music: Johanne Baadsgaard Lange
